Average
Another star son is making his debut in films. Aadi son of dialogue king Sai Kumar is the hero in the film Prema Kavali. Let us see how far this young son of Sai kumar has managed to impress on his debut.
 Story:

This is a pure teenage love story with some action. Srinu (Aadi) is a young and loving boy. He studies in college. His classmate happens to be Prema (Isha Chawla). They are good friends but without their knowledge they also fall in love with one another. However they do not express it but keep it to themselves.
One day Srinu before laving for a college camp kisses Prema. Nothing wrong but the problem is that this scene is caught on camera by Shafi.
Shafi then uses this photo to blackmail Prema. Prema’s father Nazar is a jail superintendent. While Shafi continues to blackmail Prema for money he also manages to threaten her get the E-mail password of her father.
Prema’s sister-in-law Sindhu Tolani who is in the know how of all this informs this to Srinu as soon as he comes back to Hyderabad after his camp in Himachal Pradesh. However to his horror Srinu learns that Shafi had done enough damage even before he could ascertain his identity.
There is a twist in the story. Shafi has links with villain Dev Gill. There is a dreaded international terrorist lodged in the Chanchalaguda jail and Dev Gill is on a mission to get him out and flee the country.

Will Dev Gill succeed? What will the hero do now to save his love interest and also her father from Dev Gill? All this forms the basis for the remaining part of the story.

Performance:
Aadi has shown good promise for a debutante. He has done a lot of homework in all th departments from acting to fights, dances and dialogue delivery. So he comes out with an above average performance. Coming to dialogues, being the son of Sai Kumar it is only natural that he does a good job.
Isha Chawla is cute. She also has enough charm and oomph to make a mark in Telugu. She also sizzles in the wet song filmed on her and the hero. Nazar is his usual self while Sindu Tolani is just okay. Shafi gets a lengthy role and he makes an impact.
Brahmanandam as Serlilingam evokes some laughter along with Geeta Singh. Ali and MS Narayana too do a decent job.
 Analysis:
Prema Kavali may seem like yet another typical love story but senior director Vijay Bhaskar has managed to script an interesting story and also manages to come up with decent fare. The film is a good platform for the debutante hero. The music by Anup Rubens is decent and the editing and cinematography are also good.
The production values are above average. The film Prema Kavali runs in a fast paced manner in the first half. The director manages to keep suspense with his tow flashback incidents. The second half is a bit lengthy but the comedy relieves the proceedings to a large extent. The climax is not exactly good but then the director has his own compulsion, which is to elevate the character of the hero.
 Verdict:
Prema Kavali is a decent film with no big surprises or twists. The film is essentially meant as a launch ad for Aadi and director Vijay Bhaskar has succeeded in his task. Prema Kavali is a average entertainer. It is now up to the young college going audience to decide the fate of the film at the box office.
